Recently I've taken my running off road in a pair of North Face Hedgehog Gore-Tex XCR trainers, although they're pretty well cushioned for road running now that the weather it absolutely tipping it down. Although I haven't felt confident to run in bad rain because I don't know just how waterproof a pair of Gore Tex shoes are.
So I guess what I'm really asking you guys is whether something that's mostly mesh like these Gore-Tex shoes are really any good for running in the rain and when do they become unsuitable for running off road in the summer?
I'm fairly new to running. So do you guys have a pair of winter running shoes and a pair of summer running shoes to get waterproofing in the winter and more ventilation in the summer while still having something suitable to run off road in. If that's the case, then all these shoes are getting expensive!
